Bill Markham

Bill Markham (January 16, 1917 - April 3, 1993) was a game designer who invented about 50 games and toys, selling them to Mattel, Hasbro, Milton Bradley and Parker Brothers, but it was his creation of The Game of Life for Milton Bradley in 1960 that cemented his reputation.
