Thomas Denmark


Thomas L. Denmark is an artist and game designer from San Rafael, California. He has worked as an illustrator in tabletop games since 1997. His first professional commission was for Iron Crown Enterprises, illustrating the Mentalist Companion. He went on to illustrate the Orkworld RPG, many Legend of the Five Rings and Warlord collectible cards, and became a signature artist for the A Game of Thrones collectible card game.

He has illustrated several Dungeons and Dragons books, World of Warcraft cards, and a number of Magic:the Gathering cards.

Revealing his interest in game design, in 2002 he designed and illustrated the Dungeoneer line of expandable card games, which went on to have 7 expansions and has been published in 5 languages. In 2012 he released Murder of Crows, a darkly humorous fast-playing card game in the spirit of Edward Gorey and Charles Addams.

He currently resides in Northern California with his lovely and talented wife who is also an artist, and two daughters. He is working on a number of other tabletop game ideas which he discusses on his game blog. His day job is an artist in video games, where he has worked on such titles as Star Wars X:Wing Alliance, Sims: Unleashed, Battle of the Bands, The Godfather: Five Families, Edgeworld, Dragons of Atlantis, and other video games.
